Football Game Preview: Canton C-Hawks vs. West Central Trojans

The Canton C-Hawks will square off against the West Central Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Canton nor West Central posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Canton's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Sioux Falls Christian on Friday. They were outmatched by the Chargers and fell 50-0.

Meanwhile, West Central faced Lennox in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over the Orioles. Winning may never get old, but the Trojans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for West Central, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Canton was dealt a bruising 48-14 loss at the hands of West Central when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the C-Hawks, Patrick Hammond (who rushed for 80 yards and two scores on only six carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
