Softball Recap: Platt Comes Up Short

Platt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-9 to the Lewis Mills Spartans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-9 on Thursday.

Skyler Wisniewski made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Adrienne McDonald, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.

Platt's record now sits at 1-6. As for Lewis Mills, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Coming up, Platt will take on RHAM at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Raptors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lewis Mills, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against East Catholic at 3:45 p.m. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season.
