Baseball Recap: Holliday Finds Home Field Redemption Against Bowie

There's no place like home for Holliday, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Bowie Jackrabbits on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Holliday's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bowie, they moved to 11-14 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Holliday is set to take on their familiar foe Jacksboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.1, the Tigers 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bowie will face off against rival Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
