After a string of four wins, Goldsboro's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Princeton Bulldogs, falling 11-1. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Cougars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Goldsboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Grant, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Leland Apriceno, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Goldsboro's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Princeton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goldsboro will venture away from home to take on North Johnston at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Princeton, they will head out to face off against Midway at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
