The Weaver Beavers stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, posting a 97-50 win at home. Weaver's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Weaver to victory, but perhaps none more so than Fazal Khan, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Khan is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Madden Cupe, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and three steals.

The win was the third in a row for Weaver, bringing their record for this year to 9-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.67 points. As for Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weaver will square off against Metropolitan Learning Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Metropolitan Learning Center: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Weaver has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road. Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Capital Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Capital Prep is ranked 135th, while Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy is ranked 144th).
