Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 on Friday.

As for Frontier, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. Considering they have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

For Frontier's part, Mikayla Bennett was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, Bennett posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, Beallsville will face off against Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.64 runs per game on average), something the Blue Devils will no doubt try to take advantage of.
