Softball Recap: Lake Orion's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Lake Orion fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Algonac on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Muskrats. The contest marked the Dragons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Lake Orion's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8-1. As for Algonac, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-12-1.

Looking ahead, Lake Orion will challenge Goodrich at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Algonac, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against New Haven at 10:00 a.m. The Muskrats are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
