Soccer Recap: Gross Catholic Comes Up Short

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Bluejays who were credited with the win on Saturday. The Seward Bluejays got it done in the shootout by posting one goals to the Gross Catholic Cougars' zero.

Christian Monico wasn't going to let Seward walk away unscathed as he scored both of Gross Catholic's goals, bringing his season total up to eight goals.

Gross Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Seward, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-3.

Gross Catholic has already played their next match, a 5-1 loss against Mount Michael Benedictine on the 9th. As for Seward, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Schuyler on the 10th.
