Baseball Game Preview: Bethel Bison vs. Curtis Vikings

The Bethel Bison are taking a road trip to take on the Curtis Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Sumner hit Bethel with a nine-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bison came up short against the Spartans, falling 14-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Curtis waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 12-5 victory. The Vikings not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 4th (when they won 11-1).

Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Curtis, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Bethel couldn't quite get it done against Curtis when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
