Catholic Central lost against Wheeling Central Catholic back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Crusaders fell just short of the Maroon Knights by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Catholic Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 321st in Ohio, while Wheeling Central Catholic are ranked 13th in West Virginia).

Catholic Central has already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Columbiana on the 15th. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Grafton on the 13th.
