Baseball Recap: Fort Lupton Bluedevils vs. Jefferson Saints
Fort Lupton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-11 to the Jefferson Saints. Even though they lost, Fort Lupton's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.1 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Jesse Ceretto put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Ceretto was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring five runs and stealing two bases while going 5-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on AJ Alvarado, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Salazar, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and a stolen base.
Fort Lupton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Jefferson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
Fort Lupton will be playing at home against Westminster at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westminster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Jefferson, they will head out on the road to take on Dawson School at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Dawson School's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Jefferson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
