Softball Game Preview: Lewiston Blue Devils vs. Messalonskee Eagles

The Lewiston Blue Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Messalonskee Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Lewiston and seven for Messalonskee dating back to last season.

On Monday, Lewiston didn't have quite enough to beat Oak Hill and fell 5-4.

Meanwhile, Messalonskee didn't have quite enough to beat Hampden on Monday and fell 7-5.

Lewiston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Messalonskee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Lewiston couldn't quite get it done against Messalonskee in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
