Soccer Game Preview: Salado vs. Giddings

Salado has won ten straight games at home, while Giddings has won ten straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Salado Eagles will welcome the Giddings Buffaloes at 7:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Salado's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over Taylor. The Eagles' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last 17 contests.

Meanwhile, everything went Giddings' way against La Grange on Monday as Giddings made off with a 7-0 victory. It was an even better day for Jaida Rodea as she scored four goals for her team.

Giddings is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 64 goals over those 12 matches. Salado's win bumped their record up to 22-3.

Salado took their victory against Giddings in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 5-0. Will Salado repeat their success, or does Giddings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
