Basketball Recap: Mount Zion Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Mount Zion Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springdale Prep Lions. The Mighty Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springdale Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bol Thet, who posted 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals Thet has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Costley, who went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points and four steals.

Mount Zion Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mount Zion Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wake County Academy HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Springdale Prep, they have already played their next game, a 66-36 win against Kid Star Rising Christian Academy on the 8th.
