Basketball Recap: Kongiganak Victorious

Kongiganak's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Akula Elitnaurvik Tundra Foxes as they made off with a 59-36 win. The Wolverines pushed the score to 47-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tundra Foxes cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Akula Elitnaurvik still got an impressive performance from Lance Isaac, who posted 14 points. Preston Andrew was another key player, putting up eight points.

Kongiganak's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Akula Elitnaurvik, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Kongiganak nor Akula Elitnaurvik have any future games scheduled.
