Soccer Game Preview: Westminster vs. Prairie View

The Westminster Wolves will face off against the Prairie View Thunderhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Westminster didn't have quite enough to beat Riverdale Ridge and fell 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Westminster came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Riverdale Ridge are ranked 81st).

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Prairie View sidestepped Brighton for a 2-1 victory. Prairie View found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Jaden Lee and Santiago Rivera were both handed yellow cards.

Jaedon Keeton and Daniel Murguia scored both of Prairie View's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Prairie View's win bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Westminster, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.

Westminster beat Prairie View 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will Wolves repeat their success, or do the Thunderhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
