Wayne has been on the road for six straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Tabiona Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, a fact Wayne proved last Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 45-30 win over Escalante.
Among those leading the charge was Raegyn Blackburn, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Vandyke, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Tabiona has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Bryce Valley with a sharp 34-14 win on Wednesday.
Wayne's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Tabiona, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.
