Soccer Game Preview: Gilbert vs. Gray Collegiate Academy

The Gilbert Indians will head out to square off against the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Gilbert made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Airport, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Indians were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Eagles on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what Gilbert needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

They hit Airport with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ainsley Bryan (2), Avery Campbell, and Ashlynn Brock.

Meanwhile, Gray Collegiate Academy put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Fort Dorchester.

Gray Collegiate Academy pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 46 goals over those eight contests. As for Gilbert, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Gilbert beat Gray Collegiate Academy by a goal in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 3-2. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the War Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
