Cameron won the last time they faced Notre Dame and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dragons narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Fighting Irish 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted since August 26, 2024.

Piper Fryer and Sophie Gum certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Fryer had 33 digs and three aces, while Gum had 27 digs, six kills, five aces, and three blocks. Gum has been hot, having posted five or more kills the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Policano, who had 18 digs, five kills, and three aces.

Cameron's victory bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Notre Dame, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-21 record this season.

Cameron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Madonna on the 28th. Hopefully Notre Dame paid attention to the Dragons' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
