 After a string of six wins, Bauxite's good fortune finally ran out  on Monday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 12-1 walloping at the hands of the Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bauxite of the  8-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in March of 2020.
 For Central Arkansas Christian's part,  Caleb Cook was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits. Cook was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Harrison Richmond, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Cade Sargent, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Bauxite's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 14-9. As for Central Arkansas Christian, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that  victory, which was their 14th straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Bauxite will head out on the road to  square off against  Harmony Grove at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Central Arkansas Christian, they will be playing at home against South Side at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
