UME Preparatory Academy has gone a perfect 7-0 against Newman International Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The EAGLES will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (UME Preparatory Academy has five straight wins, Newman International Academy has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, UME Preparatory Academy made easy work of Newman International Academy and carried off a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the EAGLES, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Bethany Gonzales made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Zoe Carrizales was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Madison Holland was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, Newman International Academy lost 17-1 to Newman International Academy on Monday.

UME Preparatory Academy's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-8-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Newman International Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

UME Preparatory Academy took their win against Newman International Academy in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 20-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the EAGLES since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
