South won the last time they faced North and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rebels were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rangers.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 27-25, 26-24.

South's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Langa, who had 16 digs and one block. That's the most digs Langa has posted over her last eight matches. Another player making a difference was Payton Miozzi, who had nine digs and three aces.

When it comes to explaining why North lost, don't look at Ava Mitchell. Despite the final result, she had 22 digs and four aces. Mitchell has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last seven times she's played.

South's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
