Konner Marshall was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Marshall wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Owen Grove, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.
Gettysburg pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Spring Grove, their record is now 3-3-1.
Gettysburg was able to grind out a solid win over Spring Grove when the teams last played back in April of 2022, winning 5-0. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
