Westminster Christian extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Angelina Fernandez. The Westminster Christian Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 win over the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles on Friday thanks in part to Fernandez, who posted 18 points and three steals. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Westminster Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsie Kenney, who put up eight points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.

Westminster Christian pushed their record up to 9-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Westminster Christian has already played their next contest, a 43-39 win against Mater Academy Charter on the 27th. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 63-20 loss against Pine Crest on the 28th.
