Softball Recap: Galax Comes Up Short

If Galax was riding high fresh off their 18-4 takedown of Narrows last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Maroon Tide came up short against the Auburn Eagles on Tuesday, falling 18-0. The Maroon Tide were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Galax's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Auburn, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coming up, Galax will take on Bland County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Auburn, they will challenge Eastern Montgomery at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th.
