Basketball Game Preview: Dunedin Falcons vs. Palm Harbor University Hurricanes

Dunedin hasn't had much luck against Palm Harbor University recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Having just played yesterday, the Dunedin Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes at 8:00 p.m. Dunedin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Palm Harbor University likes a good challenge.

On Wednesday, Dunedin came up short against Clearwater and fell 64-55.

Dunedin will need focus on slowing down Curtis George, one of several Palm Harbor University players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 of 12 on his way to 17 points and four steals. With that strong performance, George is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Andrew Barkman, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

Dunedin's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-9. As for Palm Harbor University, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-15.

Dunedin took their victory against Palm Harbor University in their previous meeting on Friday by a conclusive 62-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dunedin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
