Softball Recap: North Brookfield Indians vs. North Middlesex Regional Patriots
North Brookfield had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it four. They fell 13-9 to the North Middlesex Regional Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 back in April.
As for North Middlesex Regional, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
For North Middlesex Regional's part, Giada Manolakis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks.
