Basketball Recap: Hebron Academy Lumberjacks vs. Berwick Academy Bulldogs

Hebron Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Berwick Academy Bulldogs, falling 82-30. The Lumberjacks lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in February of 2017, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 78-53 score last time.

Berwick Academy was led to victory by Noah Daniel and Brandon Ventura. Daniel dropped a triple-double with 24 points, ten boards, and 15 assists, while Ventura dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Daniel's afternoon made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. Tucker Demers was another key player, going 5-for-8 to rack up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Hebron Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Berwick Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hebron Academy will venture away from home to take on Dublin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Berwick Academy, they and Kents Hill School will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
