Basketball Recap: Will Smith's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Bay Haven Academy over Mosley

North Bay Haven Academy played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 64-40 to the Mosley Dolphins. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Dolphins recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Several Buccaneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Will Smith, who posted 11 points and seven boards. Smith continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Gabe Tryon also deserves some recognition as he posted his first blocks of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mosley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Mcfatter, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Mcfatter's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Drew Wilkas was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

North Bay Haven Academy's record is now 7-10. As for Mosley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

North Bay Haven Academy has already played their next game, a 67-57 loss against Arnold on the 15th. As for Mosley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 74-50 defeat against Port St. Joe on the 14th.
