Basketball Recap: Cypress Lake's Losing Streak Snapped at 15 Games

Cypress Lake needed a changed in momentum after dropping 15 straight games and they got it from Victoria Silva-Asuaje. The Cypress Lake Panthers strolled past the Riverdale Raiders with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 42-27 thanks in part to Silva-Asuaje, who posted 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Cypress Lake's points.

Cypress Lake's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-13. As for Riverdale, their loss was their 21st straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ida Baker the next time they take the court. Cypress Lake will head out to face Ida Baker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Riverdale will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
