Basketball Recap: Lisle Skates Past Julian with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, Lisle rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Julian Jaguars, posting a 51-24 victory. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

Ally Doering had an outrageously good game as she posted 21 points and six boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Ally Russell was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Lisle smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Lisle has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-19 record this season. Julian's loss dropped their record down to 14-6.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions duke it out with the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Julian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
