Soccer Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to the Red Mountain Mountain Lions. While losing is never fun, Skyline can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Red Mountain are ranked 22nd).

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Red Mountain, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3-1.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-0 defeat against Mountain View on the 21st. As for Red Mountain, they have also already played their next match, an 8-0 win against Dobson on the 21st.
