Baseball Game Preview: Gibbs Gladiators vs. Gulf Buccaneers

Gibbs is 1-9 against Gulf since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Gladiators will host the Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Gibbs is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Booker, falling 20-5. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Gulf was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 8-2 to Seminole.

Gulf saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Cruz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Gibbs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Gulf, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
