Baseball Game Preview: Booneville Blue Devils vs. East Webster Wolverines

For the second straight game, Booneville will face off against East Webster. The Blue Devils will square off against the Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Booneville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Booneville took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out East Webster 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted since March 10th.

Cade Lott spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Booneville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Matthews, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Booneville's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-15. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for East Webster, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-6.
