Lakota took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Calvert, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raiders skirted past the Senecas 6-5. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

AJ Gosche and Hunter Sweeney did most of the damage at the plate: Gosche scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Sweeney scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Gosche has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Grant Bomer, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

The victory got Lakota back to even at 2-2. As for Calvert, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Lakota didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-2 win against Fostoria on the 12th. As for Calvert, they have also already played their next matchup, an 8-4 victory against Woodmore on the 11th.
