Basketball Recap: Central Falls Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Central Falls needed a changed in momentum after dropping four straight games and they got it from Jamilson De Pina Almeida. The Central Falls Warriors walked away with a 76-66 victory over the Hope Blue Wave on Friday thanks in part to De Pina Almeida, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 21 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sire Hazard, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in assists.

Central Falls' win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Hope, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Falls will host Blackstone Valley Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
