Basketball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Piles Up the Points Against Bethlehem Academy

Rushford-Peterson won against Bethlehem Academy/Discovery on Monday with 94 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. The Rushford-Peterson Trojans took their contest with ease, bagging a 94-37 victory over the Bethlehem Academy Cardinals. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 35 points or more this season.

The win was the fifth in a row for Rushford-Peterson, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.2 points per game. As for Bethlehem Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Rushford-Peterson will take on Chatfield in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Rushford-Peterson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Chatfield likes a good challenge. As for Bethlehem Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-22 loss against Triton on the 19th.
