Pleasant Valley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kira Hnat, who had 31 assists and ten digs, and Emmerson DeLuna, who had 11 digs and two aces. Hnat is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.
They weren't the only good servers: Pleasant Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are 11-2 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Stroudsburg lost 3-0 to Pocono Mountain West on Monday. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
While Stroudsburg ultimately came up short, they really made Pocono Mountain West work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 27-25.
Stroudsburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-12-1. As for Pleasant Valley, their win bumped their record up to 15-11-3.
