Softball Preview: Northeastern Bobcats vs. West York Area Bulldogs
The Northeastern Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the West York Area Bulldogs at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Northeastern will be strutting in after a win while West York Area will be coming in after a loss.
Last Monday, everything went Northeastern's way against Spring Grove as Northeastern made off with a 14-1 victory.
Meanwhile, West York Area fell victim to a rough 16-5 defeat at the hands of Fairfield on Tuesday.
Rylyn Fant made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Addison Skimski, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
The win got Northeastern back to even at 1-1. As for West York Area, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Northeastern skirted past West York Area 8-7 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northeastern since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
