Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Caney). They put the hurt on the Brazoswood Buccaneers with a sharp 64-42 win on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their 19-point performance the match before.

It was another big night for Emily Mccants, who posted 28 points. Kassidy Hammond was another key player, putting up eight points.

New Caney's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11. As for Brazoswood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

New Caney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-28 loss against Angleton on the 7th. Brazoswood has also already played their next matchup, a 67-26 defeat against Caney Creek on the 7th.
