Game recap: Excelsior Springs High School Football Team defeats Grain Valley

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. - Austin Creason ran for two touchdowns and Nick Masoner added two as well as Excelsior Springs (Mo.) upset Grain Valley (Mo.) 33-22 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on an Creason touchdown run in the second quarter, the Tigers were up 19-7 at the half.

The final outcome was shocking, as Excelsior Springs was ranked No. 151 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Missouri, far below Grain Valley's spot at No. 100.

The loss was the third in a row for Grain Valley.

Excelsior Springs (4-3) goes up against Pleasant Hill in a Missouri River Valley - West game matchup next week, while Grain Valley (3-4) locks horns with Oak Grove also in a Missouri River Valley - West game.
