Basketball Recap: Empowering Others Prep Comes Up Short

Empowering Others Prep lost against St. John back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Empowering Others Prep Kings took a 65-51 bruising from the St. John's Mavericks. While losing is never fun, the Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Mavericks are ranked 100th).

Empowering Others Prep dropped their record down to 13-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for St. John's, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Empowering Others Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. John's, they will face off against Xavier Educational Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Xavier Educational Academy sitting on three straight victories and St. John's on five.
