League recap: Pohlman throws longest pass in league this season for Nebraska Lutheran

D2 District 2 (8 Man) recap September 10, 2013

Fans got a thrill when Ben Pohlman and Sam Green connected against Cedar Valley. The connection was good for 56 yards, the longest such play in D2 District 2 (8 Man) this season.

Pohlman of Nebraska Lutheran ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Cedar Valley last week. Pohlman scampered for 59 yards on the play and finished with 213 on the day as his team beat William Steele's team.

Pohlman was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Grant Freese added to the ground attack by rushing for 75 yards.

Green was the best receiver in D2 District 2 (8 Man) this week as Nebraska Lutheran beat Cedar Valley. Green tallied 3 receptions for 95 yards.

Pohlman provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Benjy Wells' team defeated Cedar Valley.

Luke Ericson put up the best numbers in passing as Osceola fell to Fullerton. He finished with 6 completions for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns. Ericson's favorite target this week was Colton Kuhnel, who caught 2 passes for 49 yards.

Trevor Carlson was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Bulldogs fell to the Warriors. The 5-foot-8 junior pulled down 2 interceptions.

Pohlman was a force in the backfield as the Knights topped Cedar Valley.

Hampton fell to Shelton 80-26 last week, the largest margin of any game. Weston Ogden in the defeat.
