Softball Recap: Schulenburg Comes Up Short

Schulenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Luling Eagles. The Shorthorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Schulenburg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Summer Livingston, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Livingston hit this season.

Schulenburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Luling, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Coming up, Schulenburg will host Weimar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Luling, they will challenge Natalia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Natalia has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
