Basketball Game Preview: Foundation Christian Academy Panthers vs. Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays

Having just played yesterday, the Foundation Christian Academy Panthers will jump right back in to play the Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Thursday, Foundation Christian Academy came up short against Gulf Coast HEAT and fell 69-56. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Calvin Griffin, who posted 25 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in January of 2024. Caleb Hagan was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Lighthouse Private Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 70-65 heartbreaker at the hands of West Florida.

Lighthouse Private Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Foundation Christian Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9.
