Basketball Recap: Knoxville Catholic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Chattanooga Christian last Tuesday, Knoxville Catholic came back down to earth. The Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish lost 58-35 to the Webb Spartans on Friday. The Fighting Irish have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Knoxville Catholic still got an impressive performance from Amaya Redd, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. Redd is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ensley Perry, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Knoxville Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Webb, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Knoxville Catholic nor Webb have any future games scheduled.
