Montgomery County won against Hermann on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Wildcats never let the Elsberry Indians get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won six contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Montgomery County has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Elsberry, they moved to 6-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Montgomery County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
