Soccer Recap: Richlands Comes Up Short

Richlands lost against Virginia High back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Tornado fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 2-1. Richlands' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Casey Addison, who's now up to nine this season.

Richlands' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Virginia High, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Richlands is set to take on their familiar foe Tazewell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Virginia High will face off against rival Lebanon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
