Basketball Recap: Chapman Comes Up Short

Chapman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Valley Heights Mustangs at home by a 49-35 margin. While losing is never fun, the Irish can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Mustangs are ranked 62nd).

Chapman's record is now 2-12. As for Valley Heights, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chapman will square off against Concordia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley Heights, they will head out on the road to take on Clay Center on Tuesday. Clay Center has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
