Softball Recap: Hudson Explorers vs. Holy Name Green Wave
Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holy Name Green Wave.
Corinne Stearns was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Bailey Deutsch was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Hudson's record is now 0-8. As for Holy Name, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Looking ahead, Hudson will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Archbishop Hoban at 12:00 p.m. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Explorers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Holy Name, they will head out to face off against Mayfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
